The Dracaena fragrans 'Compacta' prefers bright, indirect light, but avoid positioning them in direct sunlight when it's at its strongest to prevent leaf burn. They can tolerate lower light levels, but as a result, may lose some of their beautiful variegation.
Dracaena's are fairly drought tolerant so always allow at least the top 30% of soil to dry out between waterings.
When watering, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains out of the bottom of the pot. Discard any excess water in the saucer or decorative pot to prevent waterlogged roots.
It's important to adjust your watering routine based on the time of year and specific environmental conditions like humidity and temperature.
